The Bed and Breakfast is beautifully decorated with tapestries, Chinese carpets, antiques, and collections from our world travels. However we have tried to make it comfortable as well as elegant. You can relax in the main sitting room which has a large fireplace and a great selection of books and videos. There is also a wrap-around porch that offers a wonderful view of the rolling hills, cornfields and wildflower meadows. All the suites/room have great views. Most of the B&B is comprised of suites with private Jacuzzis and fireplaces. Some of the suites even have kitchens. And of course we pamper our guests with our gourmet breakfasts.

Our trout/bass pond is fully stocked and we even provide fishing tackle if guests would like to try their hand at fishing. There are also bikes and cross-country skis for your enjoyment - but don't feel you have to be energetic - many guests just prefer to lie in the hammock, stroll around the farm, or picnic in the gazebo.

Policies and Rates for the Bed and Breakfast

• Reservations made in advance are suggested (holiday weekends and Autumn Glory usually get booked up early, so book early to avoid disappointment). A two night stay is required on weekends.

• A one night deposit is required to confirm your reservation. A full refund (less a $25 processing fee) will be made if cancellations are made at least seven days in advance of arrival date.

• Sorry no pets permitted.

• Smoking is permitted on the wrap-around porch only (not inside the B&B).

• Check in time is 3 p.m. - 9 p.m. (please advise if you cannot arrive during those hours).

• Check out time is 12 noon.

• Children 12 or older (and well-behaved) are welcome.

• Please do not bring children or babies without our permission as many couples are trying to get away from their own children when they come for a Romantic Getaway.

The mid-week discount rate applies to stays of two nights or more. A one night stay (Monday-Thursday) is the same as the weekend rate. A two night stay is required on weekends.  Further discounts are available for longer stays and for single occupancy except on holidays and Autumn Glory. All our rooms and suites have luxurious bathrobes and come with a wonderful breakfast.

Policies and Rates
for the Lakeside Cottage

Rates in US Funds. The cottage is reserved by the week during the summer and ski season. At other times it can rented out for two days or more. 

A three night minimum is required for holidays and Autumn Glory, unless the holiday falls in the summer when there is a minimum of a one week rental.

Check-in and Late Arrivals:

• The Cottage is rented from Saturday to Saturday in the summer and during the ski season. Check-in time is between 3.00pm and 8.00pm. Late arrivals must have their balance paid in full. 

• Check-out time is 10.00am.  Please be courteous to the cleaning staff and in-coming guests by vacating the property promptly at 10am.  Upon departure please leave the cottage in an orderly condition.  Return all keys to the B&B.

• When the cottage is not rented out by the week, check in time is still between 3.00pm and 8.00pm, but check out time is 12 noon.

• Maximum Occupancy Limits: Please do not exceed the occupancy limit of 7 persons at any time during your stay.  Immediate eviction without refund and loss of damage deposit will result if occupancy limitations are exceeded.

  Boat Dock

  Boat rentals are available through a number of marinas in the area.  You are permitted to have one boat.  All boats must be launched from public ramps and never from the property shore.  Please read all regulations with regard to boating and always observe boating safety measures.

  Pets

  No pets are allowed in the cottage. If guests bring pet's) without our permission, they will be asked to vacate the property and lose their security deposit. We do not allow pets because they may bring bugs with them and they always leave hair everywhere which requires a lot of extra cleaning. So please no pets. 

  Smoking

  Both the B&B and cottage are smoke-free environments. Please be courteous and do not smoke inside the cottage. If guests smoke inside the cottage it will entail an extra cleaning fee and may result in forfeiting  the damage deposit. 

   Payment

  We will reserve the cottage for the dates you request once you have made a deposit of half of the rental amount due.  The balance is due at least two weeks before your arrival date.  We gladly accept VISA, Master card,  and Discover, cashier’s checks and money orders.  Personal checks are accepted up to 30 days prior to arrival date. We can mail, email, or fax the Rental License Agreement to you.  Please read the agreement carefully, confirm arrival and departure dates, sign the front copy and return it within 10 days of the reservation request.  We hold the person whose name appears on the lease responsible for any payments, damage deposits and all other responsibilities on the license agreement.

   Reservation Changes and Cancellations.

   We understand that sometimes it is necessary to change or cancel a reservation.  Prior to 30 days of arrival date, any changes to a reservation will be assessed a $50 administration fee.  Cancellations are also subject to $50 fee.  Notice must be submitted in writing and/or faxed to Haley Farm B&B.  Any cancellations or changes made less than 30 days before your arrival date will forfeit all deposit money regardless of reason. 

   Damage Deposit

  We take pride in our beautiful cottage and invite our guests to enjoy and care for it respectfully.  We require a damage deposit in the amount of $450.  Damage deposits are due two weeks prior to your arrival, along with your final payment.  This amount will be fully refunded to you within 2 weeks of your departure providing no damage or extra cleaning charges were incurred.  Please review the departure procedures and the License Agreement thoroughly.

Vacation Rental in Virginia Beach, VA available August 17-24, 2007

Lovely one bedroom apartment located in the heart of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, just 2 blocks from the boardwalk, this resort offers a family-oriented atmosphere with an open-air lobby and a relaxing environment. The unit sleeps a maximum of four persons. It has one bedroom with Queen bed, one bathroom, a sitting room with a sleep sofa, dining area, and a fully equipped kitchenette. Available for one week August 17-24, 2007. 

Rate: $1125 for the whole week (this is it - no extra taxes or hidden charges to pay), plus a refundable damage deposit of $350. There are actually two identical side-by-side units for that same week, and you can rent both of them and get a $50 discount (that would mean sleeping a total of 8 persons)

Facilities at the resort include an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, Video game area, Laundry facilities, on-site parking, safe in your room, internet access, tanning facilities, and so much more. Its in the heart of Virginia Beach close to the restaurants and night life. 

The resort offers daily maid service if you wish (but that is an extra cost), but charges nothing if you only require fresh towels. The Virginia Beach area is just a great place - there are tons of restaurants and shops and of course the beach which has a fantastic boardwalk. You can rent those family cycles which seat four and every night in the summer there are sidewalk entertainers on almost every block and fireworks one or two nights a week. I had a wonderful time there last summer.
