Haley Farm Bed & Breakfast - Events
Haley Farm Bed & Breakfast - Deep Creek, MD. So much you can do in this four season resort areaThe Deep Creek Lake area is a four season resort area. There is always something to do in the Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. The lake (with 65 miles of lakeshore) is ideal for boating, fishing, swimming, and skiing. You can also go hiking, biking, horseback riding, golfing etc. Autumn colors rival those of New England and average snowfalls of over 150 inches render this area a winter wonderland. There are five state parks within 5-20 minutes of Haley Farm to go cross-country skiing (New Germany, Herrington Manor, Deep Creek Lake, Potomac Forest, Savage River). There is usually plenty of snow by Christmas. The downhill slopes at the WISP open around mid-November (they have snow making equipment) and skiers and snowboarders love this ski resort - you can even go tubing. Ski races and snowmobile tours are held through January and February. Plus snow brings the opportunity to take a romantic sleigh ride for two.
Below are a list of upcoming events that may be of interest listed by season. Many events are free or have nominal charges.
You can also get a free copy of the Garrett County Vacation Guide. It's a wonderful introduction to Western Maryland and all the things to see and do in the Deep Creek Lake Area.
