Tea With The Queen
Tea with the Queen May 7, 2011
Great Mothers Day GiftDidn't get an invite to the Royal Wedding? Don't despair. This is your opportunity to have tea with the Queen..
Mary Ann Jung, award winning actress and renowned in Chautauqua circles, will be holding court as Elizabeth I, on Saturday May 7, 2011. Queen Bess will be regaling her subjects with surprising tales of life in her kingdom. Enjoy a royal romp through the foods, pastimes, and manners of the 1500's.
What a great Mother's day gift. Come with your Mom or send her with her best friend. After the presentation the Queen will host a question and answer session, followed by delicious English tea and cakes.
There is no charge for guests staying at the B&B that weekend (outside guests will need to pay $20 per person). Guests are encouraged to dress in period costume to get in the mood (we may have a few extra head-dresses for some guests).
Mary Ann has researched and performed a number of luminaries, including Julia Child (which she performed at the B&B last year), Amelia Earhart and Clara Barton. We hope to get her to portray at least one character from her repertoire every year. She regularly performs for the Smithsonian and on cruise ships. So don't miss this opportunity to see a living history legend.
“From the beautiful farm, scenery, fantastic breakfasts, and the hosts, Bobbi and Pete, we couldn't ask for a better place to get away. We've made this a yearly tradition!!” [more reviews]
“My boyfriend gave me this for my birthday. We have stayed at a number of B&Bs and just love the personal service and pampering you get. We just loved Haley Farm. Its so beautiful.” [more reviews]
